Some Louisiana volunteers are coming home after several weeks in the Hurricane Ian disaster zone in Florida.

About a dozen volunteers have been in Florida since late September.

The group includes volunteers from the Louisiana State Fire Marshal's Office, the Baton Rouge Fire Department, and the St. George Fire Department.

They spent most of their time in the Fort Myers area, helping keep the public safe from the potential dangers of generators.

No cases of generator-related carbon monoxide poisoning have been reported.
