Organizers of the campaign to recall New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell say they've collected about a third of the required signatures.
Since the recall effort started in August, organizers have gathered 19,000 signatures as of Tuesday. It will take 54,000 signatures to force a new election.
Organizers say cash donations are coming in steadily. Cantrell has claimed the campaign is financed by members of the Republican Party.
The deadline to get the remaining needed signatures is February 22.
