Ridgewood Preparatory School is shutting down at the end of classes today.
Declining enrollment at the nonprofit school in Metairie is finally doing it in after 75 years.
There were 145 students in the fall, but only 114 came back after the Christmas break.
Ridgewood Prep can no longer pay its staff of more than two-dozen teachers.
The 89-year-old headmaster is in poor health and is unable to get a personal loan to keep the school afloat.
