Irvin Mayfield is out of prison already.
The disgraced musician served less than a year of his 18-month sentence for defrauding the New Orleans Public Library Foundation of over $1 million.
The Bureau of Prisons confirmed Mayfield was released a week ago from a federal lockup in Florida, where he was expected to be released in April.
Mayfield and his business partner Ronald Markham both pleaded guilty to mail and wire fraud in November 2020.
Markham is still in federal prison in Texas.
