The mayor of New Orleans appears to be accused of having an extramarital affair with her former head of security in newly filed divorce papers.
The wife of Officer Jeffrey Vappie says her husband admitted to the affair with "Mrs. L.C.", who Lee Zurik of FOX 8 reports is LaToya Cantrell.
That would go against city policy, and open Cantrell up to ethics violations.
Vappie was removed from the mayor's security team when an investigation found that he was spending hours with the mayor in a city-owned apartment.
