All Mardi Gras krewes in New Orleans may be able to use their traditional routes this year, thanks to help from deputies statewide.
Mayor LaToya Cantrell announced that krewes could make use of their traditional routes if they could find enough law enforcement officers to provide security.
Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson has been making calls all over the state, finding deputies willing to protect the paradegoers.
