The National Weather Service says southeast Louisiana is under an enhanced risk of severe weather Tuesday as a cold front approaches the area.
The local NWS office says the threat will be from mid-afternoon Tuesday through early Wednesday morning.
"All modes of severe weather are expected including damaging winds, strong tornadoes EF2+, large hail and heavy rainfall within a short time," said a NWS forecaster.
Along with the enhanced risk of severe weather, the NWS said parts of southeast Louisiana are also under a marginal to slight risk of flash flooding.
