Elevance Health, Inc. is about to acquire Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana.
The two companies announced the agreement on Monday.
The acquisition deal is expected to close later this year, subject to the usual closing conditions and regulatory approvals.
Once the acquisition is complete, Elevance Health's affiliated Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield plans will be available in 15 states.
