Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams is encouraging residents and business owners to buy security cameras to help fight crime.

Cameras are available from Project NOLA, a local nonprofit that uses charitable donations and grant funds to purchase new police-grade crime cameras.

Williams joined Bryan LaGarde, executive director of Project NOLA, on Tuesday to announce the arrest of the suspect in a double shooting last September.

A Project NOLA camera caught the suspect just before the shooting occurred.
