Four suspected pickpockets are in custody after Tangipahoa Parish deputies recovered dozens of stolen cell phones.

Deputies tracked a stolen phone to an Airbnb in Tickfaw, where they found 40 stolen phones, along with stolen credit and debit cards and IDs.

They arrested two men and two women from Miami who reportedly traveled to New Orleans to pick the pockets of people celebrating Mardi Gras.

The suspects are charged with possession of stolen property.

The sheriff's office plans to make a list of victims available today.
