Fifteen people arrested for illegally carrying guns during Carnival are back on the street after the Orleans Parish District Attorney's office refused the charges.

Rafael Goyeneche of the Metropolitan Crime Commission says all 15 offenders were released from custody on Tuesday with no bail on the condition they don't get their guns back.

One of the suspects released was LSU starting wide receiver Malik Nabers.

Goyeneche says the decision undermines and demoralizes police who are trying to keep the streets of the city safe.
