The State Fire Marshal's Office is reminding Louisianans to check their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.
Spring-forward was over the weekend, and Fire Marshal Chief Dan Wallis says it's a good practice to "change your smoke and CO alarm batteries when you change your clocks."
Wallis says smoke or CO alarms that are older than ten years should be upgraded to the ten-year, sealed-battery alarms that don't require battery replacement through their lifetimes.
