A woman is in custody after leading Jefferson Parish deputies on a high-speed chase on Monday from Metairie to Harvey.
Deputies responded to a shoplifting call on Veterans Memorial Boulevard near Division Street.
They questioned one woman and released her, but a second woman sped away.
The chase led across the Crescent City Connection and ended when the woman crashed near the sheriff's office on Manhattan Boulevard.
Deputies say she rammed two police cars during the chase.
She's charged with criminal property damage, flight from an officer, resisting arrest, and shoplifting.
