Interim New Orleans Police Superintendent Michelle Woodfork claims crime in the city is down after her first 100 days on the job.

In a press briefing at police headquarters on Monday, Woodfork announced that murder, non-fatal shootings, and armed robbery are all down for the first three months of the year compared to 2022.

Carjackings are down by more than half, which Woodfork attributes to deployment of officers to crime hotspots.

On the other hand, car thefts have exploded by more than 150 percent.
