Two Suspected Of Killing Man In Kenner Say They Did It Just Because

Kenner police say two men who shot and killed a 66-year-old handyman did so apparently because they felt like killing somebody.

Officers say Tahj Matthews, 23, and Maurice Holmes, 25, shot Lawrence Herr of Metairie as he fixed a mailbox in front of a home.

Investigators say one of the two suspects told police they "just wanted to kill somebody that day."

Herr was the caretaker for his 90-year-old mother.

Matthews and Holmes are charged with first-degree murder.
