A woman is accused of killing a six-year-old girl and stuffing her into a large bucket that she left on the front lawn of the girl's mother.
The body of Bella Fontenelle was found after 8 a.m. Wednesday. The Jefferson Parish Coroner determined the girl's death was a homicide.
Harahan Police and Jefferson Parish deputies arrested 43-year-old Hannah Landon around 2 p.m. at a local hospital.
The suspect is identified as the girlfriend of the victim's father.
Landon is charged with first-degree murder and obstruction of justice.
