A woman is in critical condition after a hit-and-run driver struck her as she rode her bicycle away from Jazz Fest.
Police say the accident happened around 9:15 p.m. Saturday on Esplanade at Claiborne
Friends of Katherine Elkins say a car rammed into her without slowing down or stopping.
EMTs with a nearby ambulance saw the accident, and took Elkins to University Medical Center
Her loved ones have set up a GoFundMe page to help with her medical bills and a reward for info leading to the arrest of the driver involved.
