The founder of the Krewe of Endymion is now honored with a statue on the campus of Delgado Community College.
Officials unveiled the seven-foot statue of Ed Muniz on Saturday morning.
The double statue also features the toga-wearing cartoon mascot Endymion Man, and is located at the spot where the Endymion Parade lines up before it rolls.
Ed Muniz is a Gentilly native who started his broadcasting career in 1959 and later served in local politics.
The first Endymion parade rolled in February 1967.
