New Orleans District Attorney Jason Williams is declining to reinstate a gun charge against LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers.
Nabers was arrested at a Mardi Gras event for illegally carrying a weapon without a permit.
His case was one of 14 illegal gun charges that Williams says were improperly refused by Emily Maw, an assistant district attorney. Three of the refused cases are being reinstated.
Williams says the misdemeanor charge against Nabers is being dismissed because he's a college student with no priors.
Nabers also voluntarily turned in the gun.
