All Louisiana OMV Offices Open Today After Last Week's Network Outages

All of the state's field offices of the Office of Motor Vehicles are open again today.

The OMV was one of a number of state agencies across Louisiana that experienced network outages last week that affected their services.

Jacques Berry of the Division of Administration says the problems resulted from a hardware failure as opposed to external interference.

The failure affected the Internet, email, and applications for all executive branches except elected officials and higher education.
