The family of a severely injured 12-year-old says his donated organs will save as many as eight lives.
An out-of-control ice cream truck crashed into Adrian Fajardo's home in Kenner last Saturday, sending him to the hospital in critical condition.
Adrian's family later learned that he was brain-dead and announced they plan to donate his organs.
The 71-year-old driver of the ice cream truck faces charges of reckless operation of a vehicle and negligent injuring.
