The suspect in last month's deadly shooting at Mandina's is also accused of killing a Texas teenager the following week.
Houston police used a ballistics match to link 22-year-year-old Kyron Fazande to a Glock handgun used in both the killing of a Mandina's waiter on April 28 and of a 15-year-old boy outside a Houston apartment complex on May 6.
Ballistics evidence also links the same gun to three other New Orleans crimes.
Fazande may not be extradited to New Orleans until after Houston authorities try him for the teen's murder first.
