The Louisiana Supreme Court is ordering that the four teenagers accused of the murder of Linda Frickey should stand trial this year.

Wednesday's ruling stated that Judge Kimya Holmes had abused her discretion by ordering the delay of the trial until March 2024.

State prosecutors challenged Holmes's decision before the high court.

The teens are accused of second-degree murder. The 73-year-old victim was dragged to death during a carjacking last year.

The defendants have pleaded not guilty and will stand trial together.
