A missing New Orleans chef who was reported dead is still alive after all.
A friend of 47-year-old Demietriek Scott reported him missing on Saturday.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's office notified Scott's family on Monday that an unidentified body found under the France Street Bridge earlier in the day was tentatively identified as Scott.
Around 4 p.m., as reporters gathered near the family's house, Scott appeared on the scene.
He thanked everybody for their concern, and said he'd just needed some time to himself.
