Cantrell Dismissive Of Survey Showing Her With Dismal Approval Rating

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell says she isn't impressed with a recent survey that shows her approval rating is in the tank.

The New Orleans Crime Coalition's survey of 800 residents found 72 percent of the people are unhappy with the direction the city is heading.

The survey finds Cantrell has a 24 percent approval rating for her handling of crime in the city, and a 30 percent approval rating overall.

The mayor says she thinks the survey isn't accurate.

Michael Cowan, chairman of the coalition, says a leader should face facts.
