The Louisiana Democratic Party is endorsing former DOTD Secretary Shawn Wilson in this year's race for governor.
Wilson also has the endorsement of Gov. John Bel Edwards. So far Wilson is the only high-profile Democrat in the running.
The GOP candidates include Attorney General Jeff Landry, State Treasurer John Schroder, State Senator Sharon Hewitt, State Rep. Richard Nelson, and Stephen Waguespack.
Hunter Lundy is running as an Independent.
