The Louisiana Legislature has banned gender-affirming care for minors.
The State House and Senate voted Tuesday to override Gov. John Bel Edwards' veto of a bill prohibiting hormone therapy and puberty blockers for children along with gender-transition procedures.
The governor rejected the bill last month, calling it an attack on vulnerable youth.
