Gov. John Bel Edwards says he's disappointed but not surprised at the overturn of his veto of a bill banning sex changes for children.
An overwhelming two-thirds majority in both chambers successfully overturned the veto on Tuesday.
The bill bans hormone therapy and sex-change surgery for minors. Edwards says the bill is unconstitutional.
Vetoes were sustained on a bill requiring teachers to use a student's birth pronouns, and another banning classroom discussion of sexual orientation.
