NOLA City Council To Meet Next Week With Assessor Over Property Values

New Orleans City Council Vice President Helena Moreno says she plans to invite the Orleans Parish Assessor to a meeting next week.

Council members said Tuesday that residents are complaining that their assessed property values have risen by hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Some residents claim their property value is significantly different from that of their neighbors.

Assessor Erroll Williams is expected to provide answers on a number of issues raised by Council members and the public.
