Some elementary school kids from Houma are telling of their experiences in Hurricane Ida in a new book.
Fifteen students in the first through fourth grades at High Achievers Student Enrichment Center wrote down their stories of the storm that hit Louisiana two years ago.
The school's director and English teacher Pamela Pellegrin had the book, "Hurricane Ida Through the Eyes of a Child," printed in May through Student Treasures Publishing.
The book is available to read at the Terrebonne Parish Library, but not to check out.
