Interim New Orleans Police Department superintendent Michelle Woodfork is one of the six semifinalists for the job.
On Wednesday, the names of the other five were revealed.
Thedrick Andres was most recently chief of police in a Las Vegas suburb. DeShawn Beaufort was with the Philadelphia PD until 2020.
David Franklin was most recently Chief of Staff for the Albuquerque Police. Anne Kirkpatrick was the first female police chief in Oakland, California.
Jarad Phelps was deputy chief of the Prince William County Police in Virginia.
