The New Orleans City Council is calling on the state to look into the reason home values have risen so much in the past four years.
In a unanimous vote, the council moved to call on the Louisiana Tax Commission and the Louisiana Legislative Auditor to review the four-year assessment.
This is in response to a public outcry over the recent property assessments in Orleans Parish.
