Cantrell Wants To Bring Back Candidate In NOPD Chief Race

New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell is trying to bring back a candidate that withdrew their name from consideration for police chief.

The mayor says her office is attempting to contact David Franklin, who served at departments in Texas and New Mexico.

Franklin pulled out of the race after he was named a semifinalist, but Cantrell said she doesn't know why.

She wants Franklin to interview as a finalist for the role along with the three others selected.
