Two more Republican candidates are now officially running for governor of Louisiana, including the one who was already the front-runner.
Attorney General Jeff Landry and State Senator Sharon Hewitt announced their candidacies on Wednesday.
So far, a dozen candidates have qualified for the race, including four other Republicans, two Democrats, and four independents.
Polls favor Landry to win the GOP primary in October, followed by a runoff with Democratic former state transportation secretary Shawn Wilson in November.
