The National Hurricane Center has highlighted two area in the Atlantic as possible areas for development later this week.
"We have some computer models indicating that a low pressure system could try to organize out there. It's getting close to the peak of the hurricane season, so we'll be watching it," said Dr. Richard Pasch with the NHC.
Most of the activity of the Atlantic hurricane season occurs between mid-August and mid-October with the peak around September 10.
