LDH: 25 Die Of Heat-Related Causes In Louisiana Since June

The Louisiana Department of Health says more than two-dozen people in the state have died from the heat this summer.

Of the 25 heat-related deaths in June, July, and August, 22 of the victims were men and three were women.

Officials say men are often more prone to heat deaths because they're more likely to work outdoors.

Louisiana health officials say they plan to create an online dashboard that will be updated weekly to display heat-related deaths in the state.
