United Healthcare: Security Breach May Have Affected Louisiana Residents

United Healthcare is confirming a data security breach that may have put the personal health information of some Louisiana residents at risk.

After an investigation, UHC determined an unauthorized third party had accessed certain personal information last December and January.

UHC says the accessed information may have been names, member ID, plan type, and state of residency.

The compromised info doesn't include Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or bank account info.

Those affected are being notified of the breach.
