Louisiana Treasurer To Publish List Of Residents With Unclaimed Property

The State Treasurer's Office is publishing the names of thousands of Louisiana residents with unclaimed money this week.

The list of more than 80,000 names will be published in newspapers today through Friday in every parish in the state.

Unclaimed property can be forgotten money in bank accounts, stocks, bonds, securities, insurance payoffs, and more.

Treasury officials say more than $1 billion is unclaimed.

Residents can also go to LaCashClaim.org to see if they have unclaimed property.
