The father of a three-year-old girl is accused of fatally shooting the child on Monday afternoon in Algiers.
Officers responded before 3 p.m. to the reported shooting at the Parc Fontaine Apartments on Rue Parc Fontaine and found the child dead at the scene.
Relatives have identified her as Promyse Polk.
The child's father, 26-year-old Virgil Ordon, was reportedly watching her while her mother was at work.
Ordon is charged with negligent homicide and illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.
