The Saints are continuing to prepare for their Week 13 opponent.
New Orleans will host the Detroit Lions at the Caesars Superdome on Sunday afternoon.
The Saints are coming off a 24-15 loss to the NFC South rival Atlanta Falcons.
They have lost two straight and are now in second-place of the NFC South at 5-6.
Defensive end Cameron Jordan, safety Marcus Maye, running back Kendre Miller, wide receiver Rashid Shaheed and linebacker Pete Werner did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
Wide receiver Chris Olave and kicker Blake Grupe were among five that were limited in the session.
In other news, the team signed kicked Austin Seibert and defensive back Shemar Jean-Charles to the practice squad.
