Harvey Gulf International Marine is keeping its headquarters in New Orleans after all.

The company announced last May that it was planning to move its main offices and 100 employees from the Hancock Whitney Center in downtown to Jefferson Parish.

Chairman and CEO Shane Guidry said the problem was the city's crime rate.

Guidry, who is the co-chair of incoming Gov. Jeff Landry's transition committee and a major campaign donor, says he's now more confident about the city's future under a Landry administration.
