Officials are identifying a man who was shot and killed in the Faubourg Marigny neighborhood as a visitor from Washington state.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's office says 32-year-old Jake Carter was shot to death last Friday afternoon on Bourbon Street at Kerlerec Street.
Carter was the co-founder of a bagel shop in Tacoma.
Investigators say the shooting appears to have happened during an attempted armed robbery.
New Orleans police haven't arrested anybody or identified a suspect.
