The Coast Guard says a shrimper who went missing last week while trying to salvage his vessel is alive and well.
Timothy "Blimp" Cheramie was last seen on Thursday afternoon in Venice. A helicopter crew had rescued him from his shrimp boat after it ran aground.
The Coast Guard says Cheramie disappeared while trying to recover his boat.
Following Monday's severe weather, Cheramie's boat was found on Tuesday with nobody on board.
Early Wednesday afternoon, the Coast Guard confirmed Cheramie had been found safe.
