The final phase of a half-billion-dollar upgrade of the interior of the Superdome is underway.
The renovation is now in its fourth year. Last year, the concourses on the east side plaza level were widened, and the work now continues on the west side near Smoothie King Center.
The $535 million project should be completed in time for the 2024 Saints football season and Super Bowl LIX, which is coming to New Orleans a year from now.
