Sen. Bill Cassidy is co-sponsoring a bill to make life easier for oxygen-dependent patients.

The Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform Act, or SOAR, would allow Medicare to reimburse a respiratory therapist for services rendered in the patient's home, saving the patient a trip to the hospital.

The Louisiana Republican says patients who need supplemental oxygen usually have other health problems as well, so oxygen should be one less thing they have to worry about.
