Weather Delays Metairie St. Patrick's Parade To Next Month

The Metairie Road St. Patrick's Day parade won't hit town until next month.

Heavy weather over the weekend led to the postponement of the parade from Sunday until April 7, also a Sunday.

The St. Patrick's Day Classic, a two-mile race, took place on Sunday, but started at 9 a.m. instead of 10 a.m. as scheduled.

The Super Sunday celebration in Uptown New Orleans has been postponed as well. It's now scheduled for next Sunday, March 24.
