Officials are announcing the death of a former New Orleans police officer who was working in Arizona.
The Tucson Police Department says 31-year-old Adam Buckner died in a traffic accident while on duty Sunday night.
Buckner was responding to a call with his emergency lights on when a driver reportedly ran a red light and hit his patrol car. He later died at a local hospital.
Buckner joined the Tucson police in November 2021 after serving four years in the NOPD.
