A member of the LSU football team will no longer be facing an attempted murder charge.
Suspended LSU running back Trey Holly will instead be charged with one felony count of illegal use of a weapon or dangerous instrumentality after a grand jury rejected the attempted murder charge.
The 19-year-old was arrested on February 15th after turning himself in following a shooting in Farmerville that left two people injured.
LSU suspended Holly following his arrest and he has not been with the team during spring practice.
