The full Louisiana House will next take a look at a bill that aims to keep biological men out of women's public spaces.
The Women's Safety and Protection Act would bar biological men from bathrooms, locker rooms, and sleeping quarters designated for women.
The bill also lists domestic violence shelters, which are funded by federal dollars, thereby putting the shelters in the position of violating federal rules.
State Attorney General Liz Murrill on Monday said she'd be happy to battle the federal government over the issue.
