Suspect Arrested In Murder Of Wit's Inn Security Guard

A suspect is in custody for the fatal shooting of a security guard at the Wit's Inn bar in Mid-City earlier this month.

Jefferson Parish deputies and New Orleans police officers arrested 27-year-old Tirrell Gilmore on Monday.

Gilmore reportedly shot 53-year-old Darriel King on the night of April 7 after King refused to let him into the bar.

Once Gilmore is transferred from Jefferson Parish custody to the Orleans Justice Center, he'll be charged with second-degree murder.
